We had a special visit from UW Madison Student Athletes today, as part of the Badger Life program. The six students, who represented the University's Golf, Wrestling and Rowing Teams, did a great job talking with our middle school students about the importance of balancing school work with athletics! They gave great advice about working hard, being a "student" first, believing in yourself and being friends with everyone.

Our 5th graders are learning about data collection and probability. Students were given a variety of materials and the task of creating a probability experiment, that they then completed and recorded their results. The final step was to make a graph to share their results with the rest of the class.

One of the things that makes our school so special is our buddy programs.  Older students are paired up with their younger "buddies" regularly to read to them, help them with math, art projects and more!  It is a great opportunity for our older students to demonstrate leadership and reinforce their own skills and our younger students benefit from this very special one-on-one time.
