Cookies with the Saints

Ms. McDermott's third graders wrote Saint Reports with the help of their sixth grade mentors and then hosted Cookies with the Saints, where they dressed up as their Saint and presented their reports to parents, mentors and other special guests.

Youth Group Event for 6th-8th Graders!

All 6th-12th grade students are invited to meet at SFX Fellowship Hall on
November 9th at 5pm.  We will have night prayer and Eucharistic Adoration, and then take a bus to Treinen's Farm, where we will enjoy a gigantic corn maze, a bonfire, and food. 

Please contact the Church for a permission form or check our website. The cost is $15 per student. 

* The event is advertised as a 7-12th grade event, but St. Francis Xavier 6th grade students are also invited to participate.

All Saints Day Celebration

4th -8th grade students got together with their Parish Friends for an All Saints Day Celebration, following the Holy Day Mass on Nov. 1st. They enjoyed refreshments, time to connect and a really fun game of Saint Bingo, where they put their knowledge of Saints to the test!

Box Tops Earn $651

The fall Box Top collection raised $651 for our school! Money raised from Box Tops is used to fund teacher wish list items for classroom supplies, guest speakers and field trips. This is an impressive amount for round one! Keep clipping those Box Tops, our next turn in time will occur in February!

Halloween Fun

Our students and staff enjoyed some Halloween fun by dressing up in costumes, decorating pumpkins, partaking in the Haunted House (put on by our NJHS students) and enjoying classroom parties. Middle school Spanish students also learned about Dia de los Muertos.

Second Grade Cross Blessing

Our 8th graders presented their 2nd grade faith buddies with crosses that they made in art class. Fr. Tom stopped by to talk to the kids about the importance of the cross as a symbol of our faith and he blessed the crosses for the students!

Magazine Sale Results

The final results are still being tabulated, but we did surpass last year's sales, which means Mr. Abshire will be sitting on the roof of the school on Friday, Oct. 19!
