Shakespeare Workshop

7th & 8th graders had an awesome opportunity to participate in a workshop led by American Player's Theatre Actor, David Daniel this week. The workshop was the culmination of their Shakespeare unit, which also included reading A Mid-Summer Night's Dream and attending the play at the theatre.

Fun, new St. Francis Xavier spirit wear designs for kids and adults are available for order now! Completed order forms along with payment made out to St. Francis Xavier are due to the office by Monday, September 18! Athletic wear options are also still available online at sfxcatholicschool.org under Athletics.

Dr. Seuss' "The Butter Battle Book" Helps Students Understand Conflict Resolution

Our teachers are always incorporating messages about character and treating others with respect, love and empathy. During last week's Read Across America Week, third grader teacher, Ms. Mauthe, read "The Butter Battle Book" by Dr. Seuss. Afterwards, the class discussed conflict and how to apologize. They ended the lesson with a game called "I'm sorry" where students practiced what they had learned.

Feed My Sheep Collection Due Friday

Our Parish and School are joining in the efforts of Feed My Sheep Madison, a fundraising and food packaging event with Kids Against Hunger. Feed My Sheep Madison is an annual event organized by the Westside Catholic Youth Network and includes several area Parishes including St. Maria Goretti, Queen of Peace and St. Bernard.
