Athletic participation is open to all students who attend St. Francis Xavier Catholic School. With the exception of football, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School participates in the Madison Area Independent Sports League (MAISL)
In addition to Diocesan and School regulations, we are governed by this league’s rules. St. Francis Xavier offers seven sports throughout the year for interested students. St. Francis Xavier Parish provides a well-rounded program of athletics for students. Our goals of teamwork, good sportsmanship, skill development, fun and positive self esteem are of primary importance in athletics and will enhance the competitive experience. At St. Francis Xavier we believe that athletics should:
- Compliment the parish/school educational program
- Provide positive experiences to help student athletes develop a Christian attitude toward competition and cooperation
- Help student athletes develop physically, mentally and emotionally
St. Francis Xavier Parish’s athletic program is committed to excellence in all areas of participation, but not at the expense of personal health of any player or coach. Athletics is not the whole of our parish, but a part of the whole.
